Dick Thomas understands Social Security Disability and Workers' Compensation Law.
For more than 25 years, he handled Social Security Disability Appeals before Administrative Law Judges and the Appeals Council. He also has over 25 years of experience representing injured employees.

Mr. Thomas' experience and advocacy earned him a listing in "Best Lawyers in America" for Workers' Compensation. As lead attorney in Workers' Compensation Claims and Social Security Disability Appeals, he focused on handling only these areas of law.

Dick enjoys family activities, music, kayaking, shooting sports, and church activities.
EDUCATION
Mr. Thomas, earned a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School in 1972, after a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Washington and Lee University in 1969. He served in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General's Corps from 1972 to 1976.
Mr. Thomas began private practice in 1976 with the Roanoke law firm of Woods, Rogers, Muse, Walker and Thornton. In 1982 he became a partner in the Firm of Lichtenstein, Weckstein & Raney, which has evolved into the present firm of Ferris, Eakin & Thomas, P.C, where he now serves as "Of Counsel" to the firm.
